Anita's Garden - re-opening this spring!

I am excited to announce that due to popular demand, I’ll be re-opening Anita’s Garden, my gardening business, again this spring.  As many of you will recall, I operated Anita’s Garden back in 2017 and it was a resounding success.  I sold plants from a boutique nursery run from home, held workshops to educate the community about gardening, took groups on a tour of the garden so they could see an urban homestead in action and provided gardening services to members of the public.  I was busy and I miss the buzz of interacting with my lovely clients, selling quality plants which produced fruitfully over the summer and of course having my own independent income stream after going through bouts of unemployment and being on the sickness benefit since I was diagnosed with schizophrenia nearly a decade ago.

To make Anita’s Garden even more successful than ever before, I am interested in your suggestions on the following:

o   Plants (veggies, flowers, herbs, fruits and others) which you would like me to sell in my plant nursery, plus any varieties you particularly want to obtain
o   Whether you would like me to hold workshops again and what topics you would like me to cover
o   Topics you would like me to blog about
o   Whether you would find it useful for me to put out a weekly or fortnightly gardening newsletter again
o   Whether you would be interested in me providing gardening services such as assistance and help with landscaping etc
o   Any other ideas, suggestions or comments welcome

Thank you for your on-going support.  I really appreciate it.

Kind regards,

Anita

Hi Anita,

I love your blog! Came across this post and I have a few very subjective article ideas.. I'll be moving to Auckland in a couple of months and lucky for me, our new garden is of a very decent size. I would love to know what fruit trees, veges, flowers are best adapted to the Auckland weather. For instance do apple trees do okay? Peaches, plums, pears? What about peonies?
I'll be on the lookout. Cheers!
You're doing a great job with your blog :)
